Introduction
In Persona 5 Royal, players will come across various side quests, including Mementos requests that require investigating and stopping wrongdoers. One such request is “Who’s Been Assaulting People?”, where the Phantom Thieves must track down and confront an individual responsible for violent attacks. This guide will walk you through how to unlock, locate, and complete this request efficiently.
How to Unlock the Request
The “Who’s Been Assaulting People?” request becomes available during September in-game. To unlock it, players must:
- Listen to Rumors – Visit Shujin Academy and listen to students talking about people being attacked.
- Talk to Mishima – As with other Mementos requests, Mishima will eventually post about it in the Phan-Site after hearing more details.
- Accept the Request – Once the request appears in your quest log, you can prepare to track down the target in Mementos.
Mementos Target Location
The culprit is found in Aiyatsbus Area (Mementos – First Section). Since this is an early area of Mementos, you should have no trouble navigating to the target.
Boss Battle: Shadow Tsuboi
Boss Characteristics
- Name: Shadow Tsuboi
- Weaknesses: Wind (Garu skills)
- Strengths: Resists Physical Attacks
Recommended Party Setup
To make the fight easier, bring a Persona with Wind skills, such as Morgana’s Zorro Persona, as Shadow Tsuboi is weak to them. Avoid relying on Physical-based attackers since he resists them.
Battle Strategy
- Exploit Weakness – Use Garu attacks to knock down Shadow Tsuboi and initiate an All-Out Attack.
- Debuffs Help – Decreasing his attack or defense with skills like Tarunda or Rakunda can speed up the fight.
- Heal When Necessary – The boss has moderate physical attacks that can deal significant damage, so keep HP high.
Post-Battle Rewards
After defeating Shadow Tsuboi, the request is marked as complete. You will earn:
- Money & XP
- Item Drops (varies depending on difficulty and bonuses)
- Progress in Mishima’s Confidant Rank
Conclusion
The “Who’s Been Assaulting People?” request is one of the earlier Mementos missions in Persona 5 Royal, making it a relatively straightforward challenge. With the right strategy and preparation, the Phantom Thieves can easily take down Shadow Tsuboi and bring justice to those he has harmed. Completing this request also contributes to unlocking additional Mementos bosses later in the game, making it an important step in your journey.
